About me _____________________________

Since the beginning of my PhD work in EPFL (Switzerland), I carried out original research concerning environmental flows occurring at the surface and the sub-surface of the earth. These dynamical processes include bedload transport, river turbulence, granular avalanches and flow through porous media. They involve many disciplines such as Fluid Mechanics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I set up many laboratory experiments to study these flows, and developed several optical and numerical methods to measure and understand them. Theoretical models take up a large part of my work, with both stochastic and deterministic approaches to the equation of motion.
