In 1976, he was appointed by the
CNRS and returned to Thiais to join Henriette Rivière’s laboratories
and participate to the research on the oxidation of organic compounds with
dioxygen catalysed by copper (II) complexes. In 1982, he moved to Rennes,
where he began to learn organometallic chemistry in Didier Astruc’s group
during one year.
He is currently a CNRS Director
of Research at the University of Rennes where he is in charge of the “Organoiron
and Molecular Electronics” research group.
He and his wife Brigitte have been
married since 1975 and have one daughter, Aude, and two sons, Cyril and
Amaury.
