Prévision des résultats 2016-2017 du championnat de football de ligue1 (11/01/2017):
Les prévisions sont faites à partir d'un modèle stochastique utilisant les masses salariales des clubs comme paramètres permettant de calculer les probabilités de victoire, de match nul ou de défaite. Le modèle est dynamique dans la mesure ou ces probabilités sont corrigées après chaque journée pour tenir compte de la performance des clubs lors des rencontres précédentes. Les réalisations sont calculées en utilisant la commande RandomChoice de Mathematica. La saison est jouée 100 fois. Il y a donc 100 parcours différents pour chaque club. Ci-dessous deux exemples de prévision:
