Targeting and Functional Self-Assemblies
Valérie Marchi-Artzner

Objectives

The aim is to design composite functional nanosystems possessing both optical or magnetic properties and specific chemical functionalities based on molecular recognition groups. These systems are prepared starting from inorganic nanocristals (fluorescent QDs, magnetic or metallic nanoparticles) and amphiphilic self-assemblies. They are envisaged as nanoprobes in biology (bioactivation of QDs, targeting of membranes and proteins, fusogenic systems) or in soft matter but also as building blocks for the preparation of nanostructured materials (composite sellf assembled cristal liquid phase).
