Geophysicists call me a geologist, geologists call me a geophysicist. On this schizophrenic basis, here is an approximative list of what I spend my time in the lab doing:

- plate tectonics and global geodynamics
- large-scale geomorphology, i.e. at the scale of an orogen or a continent
- dynamic topography
- subduction
- relative and absolute sea level, in relation to the variations of the static and dynamic shape of the Earth.
- exhumation of HP rocks
- crustal and lithospheric deformation, mountain building
- heat flow
- structural geology

phd advising:
i'm co-supervising the PhD thesis of Emilie Ostanciaux (co. C. Robin & K. Pedoja, on the geodynamics  of sea level change at various time scales), and Mélanie Gérault (co T. Becker, on global geodynamics, slabs and mantle flow). Christelle Loiselet (co. J. Braun) defended her PhD thesis (on slabs swimming in the mantle), in 2009.
