Wall Crossing, IHES, Bures-sur-Yvette, France,

November 10 – November 12, 2011

Lecture series of Maxim Kontsevich and of Andrew Neitzke

Maxim Kontsevich and Andrew Neitzke have kindly agreed to give short series of lectures on Wall Crossing. The lectures are mostly oriented to community working with "flat surfaces" and with moduli spaces of quadratic differentials; that is to non-experts in wall crossing.

The announcement of the minicourse of Maxim Kontsevich can be found here. Some comments concerning literature recommended by Andrew Neitzke can be found here.

The  lectures  would  take  place  at  IHES from Thursday to Saturday inclusive,  November  10  -  November  12,  2011.  There would be two lectures every day: from 10am to 12am and from 2pm to 4pm. (Note that November 11 is the French national holiday.)

This   informal   micro-school   would   be   really   minimalist  in organization:  participants are invited to find their proper funds to cover  their  travel  and  stay,  and  to  choose  and reserve hotels individually.

Though there is no formal registration, those, who are interested in participation, are encouraged to send an informal e-mail message to

Anton.Zorich@univ-rennes1.fr containing the words "Wall Crossing" in the subject in order to, possibly, receive some further related information.

Hotels: The canonical option is Appart Hotel Bures la Guyonnerie. The place is on the boarder of the campus of the University Paris Sud. It is not very convenient if you plan to spend your evenings in Paris, but the advantage is that it is 25 minutes walk from IHES, and I reserved there a studio for about 162 euros for three nights, which is cheap in Paris standards.

 Two alternative options are:

http://lecottage.bures.free.fr (chambres d'hôtes ; 3 minutes walk from IHES)
www.chateaudelavierge.com/(chambres d'hôtes ; 10 minutes walk from IHES)
